Snapshots!

Perspective changes the way I see my self  depending on what angle and the picture is taken. Perspective also changes when I am caught off gaurd, because sometimes I look to serious in the ones where im caught off guard since i am foccuesed in something else. My favorite was the birds eye view because i am smileing.

Assignment 2

At Rhode Island College in my Snapshots! class this past Tuesday we spent time observing two paintings with the same idea but by different painters. The paintings both had a naked woman lying down on a bed. The first was Olympia by Edouard Manet. The Olympia painting had a woman laying down on a bed while a dark skinned lady was standing next to her with flowers in her hand which looked liked the who was laying down was ignoring her and looking away. Making it seem like if she wasn’t important. In the second painting by titan the woman looks like she is very relaxed crossing her legs with nothing to worry about, probably because she has a maid to take care of her needs and even discipline her children, while she does what ever she wants. By viewing the woman and the background of Venus of Urbino by Titan and the things the woman has in her household you could tell that she is a wealthy woman. Her house is not like any other it is very nice and elegant, because of this she has the power to do whatever she wants to only caring about herself.

While the whole class had the opportunity to see the same paintings we all came up with different conclusions. All of our eyes focused of different things. Some of us noticed many details while others just noticed the main things in the picture.

What caught my attention the most in the second painting was that I seen the woman very relaxed with grapes in her hand posing for a picture while the lady in the background looks like she’s very tired. This shows in a way that the naked woman is very careless of others since she has everything she wants and needs she ignores everything that is happening around her.

                                      In class blog
 1. I participate in online photography by emailing pictures also by posting them on social networks.
2. Online photography can be really beneficial when you have family far away so they could see a little bit of what you have been up to.
3. The downfall of online photography is that sometimes your pictures could be seen by people who you may not want to see them.
4. At the moment i do not have any questions.
